UroTuning
PDP engineering inside an established automotive ecommerce storefront — understanding the existing Liquid and app stack, fixing broken product-page functionality and improving customer-facing interactions without disrupting production.
- 01 Understand first.
- 02 Fix the underlying issue.
- 03 Improve the experience.
- 04 Protect production.
Context
UroTuning was already a live, established ecommerce business. My work focused on the product detail page, where functionality needed to be corrected and improved within the existing Shopify architecture.
Approach
- Understand first. Read the existing Liquid, theme structure and app dependencies before making changes.
- Fix the underlying issue. Debug and correct the PDP functionality that was not behaving as intended.
- Improve the experience. Refine customer-facing product interactions where the existing experience could be improved.
- Protect production. Keep changes compatible with the existing theme, installed apps and live storefront behaviour.
Outcome
Improved PDP functionality inside an established production storefront while preserving compatibility with the systems already supporting the business.
